  From suburban Detroit, Andrew Barsch graduated with a degree in English Literature from Michigan State University in 1995. He relocated to Madrid, Spain after graduation where he worked writing various articles and advertising copy for local and national publications.

He has edited copy for InMadrid, and was the Arts Editor for Map Magazine. He is also a contributing author of a travel guide on Madrid with LeCool.

Barsch relocated to San Francisco in 2006 get serious about his first novel, but always seems to be drawn back to the magazine trade as evidenced in a recent feature in Dwell Magazine, which also garnered him a spot on ABC News to discuss his work, and a feature in Catalog Magazine about the city he now calls home.
